Why Blogging Is So Powerful?

Why Blogging Is So Powerful?

Blogging is one of those things that improved my overall persona, and that is why I like it so much. It is not only useful for personal improvement, but it can be used as marketing tool to make high profits in your business as well.

In this blog post, I am going to talk why is blogging so powerful. You will learn the benefits blogging offers to both at personal and professional level.

First, I would like to talk about how much powerful it is to improve you at personal level effectively.

Improvement In Writing: Though, I am from an English speaking country, writing has been a challenge for me since the inception. When I was introduced to blogging, I found hard to write better content. I used to write smaller ones with comparatively lesser information that you can find out when you check out my older articles.

Many a times when we write long articles, many sentences look off the track due to lack of experience. I am noticing that I have improved a lot, and I can write longer content without having any sentences that look off the track. However, I am not yet perfect and need more improvement. But, Improvement is there, and that is all because of blogging.

Improvement In Networking Skills: Before I plunged into blogging, I was a person who didn’t know how to connect and be friends with people. When I started blogging, I have learnt to speak directly to hundreds or thousands of people through my blog posts. I have learned to talk to different bloggers by commenting on their blogs. I have also learned how to respond to the people’s query by replying to the comments on my blog posts.

An example of response to a comment on one of my blog posts:

comment response

By doing these, I have made many friends online, and to name a few Adrienne Smith, Donna Merrill, Carol Amato, and many more. I have very healthy relationships with these online friends. It is also because now I have the sense and attitude of networking with different people from different corners of the world.

Developed Confidence: Confidence is the thing that I think everyone should have in order to taste the success. When I was not blogging, I haven’t felt so much confidence in me ever, but when I started writing posts, interacting with people, and getting appreciations, I have begun to develop so much more confidence.

There are endless benefits I have gained and will constantly be gaining from blogging. These are just a few most significant improvements I have noticed in me since I have started blogging. Therefore, I can say that it is very powerful, as I hadn’t seen improvement in these areas even after many motivations and inspiration. But, Blogging did it within a year just naturally.

This is how I am growing up personally with the power of blogging. Now, let’s have a look how blogging can be used as a powerful marketing tool for business.

Integrate A business Blog To Your Business Website:

According to Hubspot, companies that blog 15 or more times per month get 5x more traffic than companies that don’t blog at all.

As you can see, companies that do blogging, and publish around 15 articles get 5 times more traffic. Therefore, it is a quite a great idea to start a business blog right now if you have an online business.

Apart from the traffic, you can also stay connected to your customers and audience via the blog. You can get feedback and suggestions from your audience more effectively via the blog.

You can also write blog posts about your products time to time get a maximum number of people on to your blog, and then on the product page.

You can do various things to grow the business through the blog such as you can run contests, give free tips and tricks related to your products, answer to their queries in more efficient manner.

Educate The Audience To Drive The Interest In Your Product:

You can use your blog to write something that increases the audience interest in the kind of products you offer. Suppose you have a course that teaches How to improve traffic by 200% in a month? And you have added the product to your business site that gets comparatively fewer traffic.  Now, if you want you can use your brain, then you can sell this product using your blog.

How is it possible?

You just need to write an article that should have title something like,

Do you want to improve your site’s traffic instantly?

Are you not getting enough traffic? Here is how you can improve.

Now, you can see that most of your readers may be interested in the subject because who doesn’t want to get enough traffic to their sites?

In that article, write about the tips. But, don’t write the whole ideas and tricks. And at the end, give a link to your course saying that this course teaches you the same we are discussing about.

Not every time the idea gets successful, but most of the time it helps you make some sales.

Showcase Your Talent:

You must have seen many service providers create different sites to show up their skills, talent, and previously done works. But, if you don’t want to do the same thing, your blog can help you.

Suppose you are a writer who seeks good writing clients. You can always show your blog to the clients to display your work. Also, it helps you get more client as people have a positive vibe that those who run a blog can be an excellent service provider as they are hard working. They think like that because your hard work shows off on your blog.

Being Contacted By Popular Companies And Professionals:

I am too new to be approached by big companies and professionals. But, I have seen many of my blogger friends are being contacted by big companies for attending events, writing their reviews, and for multiple business offers.

That is great! Companies spend a lot to make great contacts, and here you get those great contacts just by blogging that is enjoyable at the same time.

Final Words

Blogging is very powerful, and that not only I am saying, but the facts and information I have shared in this post say as well. Therefore, if you want to grow yourself well online, start a blog. If you want to multiply your business profits, start a blog.

Happy Blogging!

  1. Good morning Linda,

What a wonderful post and thank you for mentioning me.

I was asked a few weeks back to contribute to a post sharing what I would have done differently if I was to start over now. Every single person that was asked would have done something different. You see, none of us come into blogging knowing it all. Some, like you, are fearful of writing but there is no way we’ll ever improve without putting in the work right!

What I shared was being too stuffy in my writing and not just being me. Again, like you, this took time and over time we can watch ourselves blossom and grow. Most of us that blog never even considered ourselves as writers so for those to come into this and take on this challenge, well I applaud them all.

I have watched you grow and blossom as well my dear and I’m so very proud of you. I appreciate you sharing this with your audience because this does show others that anyone can do this. If they’re here to build a business then they definitely need to be blogging. No time like the present to get started right!

Thanks Linda and enjoy your day. As you know, I’m off to share your post.

It makes me feel so happy to see you here on my post, leaving an awesome comment too. I really do appreciate it!

I have seen so much growth in you since your coaching with Don. You are practicing every thing he taught you. You are way ahead of me in the blogging world and I look up to you. We are both improving by leaps and bounds. We must put in the work to grow. You are a shining star who I have learned a lot of new things that I need to put together. As I always say, It just takes time, patience and consistency. You are already there through your hard work.

We both are blossoming and growing, heading in the right direction. We didn’t start out thinking that we would become writers and everyone else who is out there blogging. I’m sure they think the same way. I applaud them too! It’s a lot of work.

I appreciate you being in my life as both a friend and teacher. Thank you for the awesome compliments, especially coming from you and it is true every one can do this.

Thank you for sharing, Adrienne and you have an wonderful day and weekend ahead!

  4. Hey Linda,
Arrived here via the blogging group set up by Adrienne Smith and really enjoyed your post.

Thanks for sharing these excellent tips and ideas – especially liked the one about driving the interest in your product.

The power of blogging is just starting to hit home with this ancient Aussie marketer and the amazing thing is that by simply sharing honestly and with no expectations, consistently blogging can build relationships very quickly.

Who knows where these relationships will take you but its an exciting journey and as someone in the internet marketing niche, sharing my and other people’s posts with my list has dramatically imprived my email open rates.

I have ventured into my own product creation with limited success so far but at least put my feet in the water here!

Have shared this post as widely as I could as it deserves to be seen especially by those folks who are sitting on the fence re introducing a blog to their online business activities – you provide some compelling reasons for them to stop proscastinating about this powerful strategy.

Thank you for coming here from Adrienne’s community. I really do appreciate it.

Blogging is the best tool we have to market ourselves in such a way where everyone can understand so they can get off that fence and start moving forward. Educating our audience to drive people who are interested in our products really does work. Write about something everybody needs, like traffic. We all need traffic so who wouldn’t be attracted to your post. Write about tips, but don’t give all your tips away. You want to save some for your new subscribers and it must be what they need. This method gets more sales.

Blogging creates such an awesome way to meet new people who may become subscribers. It takes between 18 months to 2 years to make it just by blog commenting and I learned that one from Adrienne. It builds relationships more quickly. We need to post on 5 blogs a day, Monday to Friday and after a period of time, people will learn to love us. These relationships that we build will move us closer into making money online, because they learn to love us.

It’s great that you took action in product creation, as you are moving forward with your goals.

Thank you for sharing my post, Peter and you have a wonderful night and week ahead!

Blogging is so powerful in fact, its benefits cannot be overemphasized. One of the good benefits of it that i love so much which you also mentioned on this post is that, you can use to significantly improve your writing and networking skill.

I’m always amazed at the kind of friends i now have from all over the world all through blogging alone. In fact, it can open so many doors for you if you are very committed to it.

Even though it can be very tedious and time consuming sometimes but, the reward is always more than its down sides.

Hopefully I can start seeing some positive results before 18 months to 2 years but if that is how long it takes to do things correctly then I am prepared to do just that.

My focus is to simply give my subscribers and readers value on topics that I found essential to starting a successful internet marketing business.

Learning from folks like you and Adrienne is fantastic for me and I look forward to a growing realtionship with many other bloggers in the internet marketing niche.

Thank you for commenting on my post again as I am truly grateful. We just keep on posting on a daily schedule and before you know it we will be there having our own communities. Adrienne has a course on How To Build A Blog Community. It’s in her right sidebar on her blog. It’s not expensive and I would suggest you get that course as it is amazing. It answers all the questions you have about blogging.

We all must give massive value in our posts and we get better at it the more we do it. You will meet so many writers of blog posts and learn so much knowledge from them and before you know it, you will be in the major leagues of blogging.

  6. Great to be back here again Linda!

And thanks for you very sweet post

You said you found it hard to write better content in the early stages of your blogging career. If that is true, I have to say you’re writing pretty good content now.

The point is that we don’t have to be literary geniuses to do this blogging thing. As long as we have a good story to tell we’re gonna build an audience anyway. Almost in spite of ourselves!

Look at someone like Enstine Muki. English is obviously not his first language (he’s from Cameroon), yet despite this he has build quite a following because the essence of his content is good.

Keep up the good work Linda, and thanks for your tips in this post. You already have fans – I’m one of them.

So nice to see you back on my post. I really do appreciate it. We are all growing in our writing and networking skills. It just takes time, patience and consistency. I see you growing too. We learn a lot by going over our old posts and see the growth in the newer posts. Thank you for the compliment as my writing skills are improving, just like you and all the rest of us who are serious about blogging.

Enstine Muki is one of the best bloggers out there and I admire him together with Adrienne Smith. They are both great writers and together they both come up with great ideas continuously. Look at how far they have both come. One day, we will be at their level by writing great content and promoting that content. Promotion is the best thing we can do for ourselves. I believe in the 20% content and 80% promoting rule.

Thank you for sharing, Kim and you have a wonderful rest of the week!

  7. Hi Linda,

No wonder blog can help you in grooming your personal brand, achieving quality leads but the truth is, getting successful with blogging is far too difficult, according to a study done by Technorati 95% of blogs fail, this is the reality.

If you haven’t been in blogging business 5 years earlier then forget about succeeding, In my humble opinion only those people succeed in blogging who have real social presence on local, regional, international level, trying from scratch, building yourself as authority from scratch are things of the good old past.

You can never ever succeed unless you are extremely lucky or you have high social influence, forget about it, Let me repeat being a newbies you can NEVER EVER EVER NEVER SUCCEED WITH BLOGGING , Linda (no offense) but don’t give people hope when it doesn’t work, you know it, its not easy!

Now I am saying it from my personal experience of over two years, I have been blogging since May 2013 and to be honest, its not easy as most bloggers claim it to be (with apologies to Linda),

May be my comment never gets published here but Linda, if I am wrong, Can you tell me couple of sure ways to get organic traffic at least couple thousand of visits/day in next couple of months ?

And I am not here to discourage people but honestly when you realize it after wasting couple years you would know, that guy was harsh but right about it…

    • Hi Arshad,

Thank you for leaving such a different type of a comment. I really do appreciate it, even if it was looking at blogging from a different set of eyes. Maybe your in the wrong niche. We need to be passionate about that. I read that 97% fail. What I am doing is building a blogging community. It’s going to take time, patience and consistency. Have you ever thought about meditation or inspirational videos, taking walks for exercise and changing your diet. It’s a great way to start your day. I see your upset about blogging and I’m sorry about that. I think that you have to love what you do.

So maybe blogging is not for you if there is no passion within you for your niche. Think about something that you love to do and follow that path. I will keep you in my prayers.

Thanks for sharing, Arshad and you have a wonderful rest of the week!

So nice to see you here on my post leaving a wonderful comment. Thank you for that. Using a blog is the best way to make friendships online and commenting not just on the blog itself, but to take it a step forward and answer the link at the bottom of their comment. I use commentluv which works great. Comment on at least five blogs a day and you will see an improvement in networking skills. It develops confidence too.

I would begin by doing that first and then to move onto the next step.

Thank you for sharing, Sanu and you have an awesome rest of the week!
